Moving Road Trip Began Today (7/15)

For any who wondered if we'd blog with a report of day one's travels... YEP!! After a restful last night in Virginia at the Hadras and a hearty, super breakfast Steve prepared, we left from their house at 8:10 AM.

We entered West Virginia just before 11:30 AM...

And Kentucky at around 2:30 PM...

Indiana just before 6:00 PM...

Illinois around 9:00 PM EST (though we crossed time zones in Indiana)...

Exhaustedly, we lumbered into Mt. Vernon, IL (80 miles from St. Louis and 780 miles from our Mechanicsville, VA start) at about 10 PM, where we all are crashing!! The scenery along the way was beautiful and breathtaking, the green trees and farmland. The boys and dog were all super traveling companions. Kathy and I are both driving a vehicle, so we're doubling up on that cheap gas. More tomorrow, if circumstances allow.... love, the Pollards
